I got the idea for this post after thinking about my last adventure. We all know crossdressing does not go away so managing it well pays off. My wife and I made a place for Micki Time in our schedule years ago and it works very well. The harmless crossdresser idea is based on what I do during Micki Time. A couple of days each month I get dressed as the most glamorous woman I can conjure up. I then go for dinner and drinks in a nice restaurant with friends or alone. That’s pretty much it other than possibly attending a show in Las Vegas if I’m there.

Probably the younger you are the less exciting that seems but it is satisfying for me. Just a harmless crossdresser activity that should not bother anyone. It’s actually boring for my wife which is one reason she does not join me. She knows where I am and typically who I am with along with liking me much more when I return home due to my relaxed mood. Letting the genie out of the bottle once a month is a must for me and being able to plan for it makes a big difference. Looking forward to my Micki Time all month long makes me happy. Because of all the planning that goes into my adventure the excitement is more than just the actual Micki Time.

I use the terms harmless crossdresser and harmless transvestite interchangeably because I have no problem with either term. I started as a transvestite using the abbreviation TV because it was less clinical sounding. Once I started going out and finding others I adopted crossdresser again because it was less clinical sounding. Who I am and what I do is the same regardless of the label and I Googled the terms to get the latest information. The first one below for transvestite comes from Miriam Webster and it surprised me a bit because fetish and perversion were once associated with the term. The DSM5 or Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5th edition probably has not changed their definition though. I wonder if any of the doctors are transvestites themselves.
I don’t identify or use the term transgender because it does not fit as you can see from the definitions below.
HARMLESS TRANSVESTITE

I liked the comparisons on the LGBTI News site because it clearly defines the differences between Transgender, Transsexual, and Transvestite. I pasted a portion of what they talk about below but their site has much more.

HARMLESS CROSSDRESSER
Regardless of your term preference harmless crossdresser or harmless transvestite the key takeaway is the harmless designation. I like to be appreciated for my presentation but not the center of attention so being left alone also works for me. Being a harmless crossdresser hopefully people respect my right to self expression without making a big deal out of seeing a guy in a dress. I think if they know the differences in terms it might help.
